The Hong Kong International Literary Festival rolled out its incredible programme for the sixteenth edition of its annual Festival. Celebrated writers from a diverse range of literary corners, including fiction, history, poetry, fitness and science came together in November in a programme of more than 35 events, spanning across ten days from 4 to 13 November.
Bei Dao, Lionel Shriver, Hanya Yanagihara, Adam Johnson, Hyeonseo Lee, and Sarah Howe were among some of the names featured in this year’s festival.
Hong Kong International Literary Festival Limited (“HKILF”) is a charitable organisation. HKILF organises the annual Hong Kong International Literary Festival and Hong Kong International Young Readers Festival. Founded in 2001, HKILF celebrates and promotes creative writing in English with an emphasis on Asian connections. Its aim is to create a platform for authors and readers, promote the literary arts, and foster a love of literature.
The festival and some of its writers featured in various Hong Kong and Regional Print and Online publications which include; Tatler, Lifestyle Asia, Time Out, HK Magazine, Hashtag Legend, SCMP, Sassy, The Loop, Localiiz, Zolima City, WCity, BC Magazine, Prestige, Mid-Levels, SilkRoad and Discover Magazine.
