Song Saa Private Island and Song Saa Foundation
Song Saa is Cambodia’s first luxury private island resort located in the pristine Koh Rong archipelago. It offers 27 luxurious villas set in a paradisiacal place – a playground of deserted virgin rainforests, tropical reefs and pearly white beaches. Song Saa seeks to nourish the mind, body and soul of all who visit, offering a luxurious mix of yoga, meditation and spa therapies, water sports, deliciously nutritious locally grown cuisine, as well as immersive natural and cultural encounters.
At the heart of Song Saa’s efforts to promote social and environmental sustainability are the activities of its non-profit partner, the Song Saa Foundation. Although a distinct entity from the resort company, the Foundation carries forward its vision of promoting social and environmental sustainability across the Koh Rong archipelago, where Song Saa Private Island is located. The Foundation is partially supported by the resort’s corporate social responsibility fund and through the provision of logistical services. Significantly, the Foundation has built on many of the initiatives originally put in place by the company’s owners, Rory and Melita Hunter, in their efforts to promote sustainability, during the development and early operation of Song Saa Private Island.
